Hi,
I always thought the priority of the deformer was :generator = 0, but until I used it more and more deeply, I had some doubts, until my understanding of the facts and the operation of the deviation, so I wrote a simple deformer plug-in and a tag plug-in to test my ideas, to see who they would finally calculate.

Deformer plugin I just set it up.

op.SetPoint (0, c4d.Vector ())

Op.Message (c4d.MSG_UPDATE)

tag  plug-in (I can change the priority of the tag plug-in.)

op.SetPoint (0, c4d.Vector (100))

Op.Message (c4d.MSG_UPDATE)

I made a comparison, although I set the tag plugin priority: generator >0, deformer is still the last calculation.

But when I use the tag plugin and Xpresso as a comparison, the result is normal, which priority is the highest and which is the final calculation

The above comparison puzzles me. It breaks my understanding of priorities. For these tests deformer and tag plugin, in what order do they work?(or how can I understand similar problems)?

Thanks!

Hi,

this forum will go into read-only mode soon. I'd like to ask you to come over into our new plugin Café forum, register and restart this topic there. Thanks!
When doing so, please clarify a bit, if your code is called in Execute() functions or in for example ModifyObject().

Cheers,
Andreas
