Hello,
I'm wondering if there's anyone (maybe a developer of maxon?) that can give me a short description of what the .gi file actually contains. There is an irradiance cache viewer available for Vray for 3DS Max, so i was actually going to try and write one for C4D as well, since it's such a usefull tool to see if you're having everything covered. If this is classified information, it's fine, but i'd love to be able to write such a thing, many people would find that really usefull. Greetings, Bart |

Oh, that's a pity. Was hoping to help a lot of people out there with a IRCache viewer (just like the one from VRay), but that's not possible now (i could reverse engineer the file format, but that would mean breaking the EULA or at least not being able to release it
) Only thing i need to know is where the sample positions are, to show them as little spheres in either an external program or even as a plugin. But thanks for the info any way, hope to see an IRCache viewer in a next version of c4d!
